>> Features > Setting up Meters/Wells
The meters/wells area within EnergySteward.com is where all meters/wells are defined. These meters/wells can be associated to contracts, with their respective volume adjustment and price formulas.  The following characterizes some of the options available within the EnergySteward.com 'Meters/Wells...' area:
  • An unlimited number of  meters/wells can be setup.
  • * Meters/Wells maintain a status history, reflecting (by date) the various changes in the status of any given meter/well.
  • * Meters/Wells can be defined with an unlimited number of 'types' (type examples include production entry point, delivery point, sales pool, redelivery point, etc.).
  • * Meters/Wells can be assigned an unlimited number of 'attributes'.  These attributes allow you to specify unique sets of characteristics about meters/wells (an attribute example includes the various EFM devices, etc.).
  • All meter/well information built with 'effective from and thru dates', allowing historical preservation of all meter/well information.
  • * Meters/Wells can have an unlimited number of cross reference (alias names).  These are typically used for cross references to other internal/external systems.
  • * Meters/Wells can be assigned membership in an unlimited number of  'groups'  (groupings of meters/wells sharing common characteristics).
  • * Meters/Wells can have an unlimited number of 'company relationships' (meter/well operator(s), producer(s), etc).
  • Measurement rates can be stored for each meter/well, by effective date (ie. BTU factor, pressure base, etc.).
  • * Meters/Wells can be associated to geographic areas for reporting and cross referencing to various pricing opportunities in those areas.
  • Meters/Wells can store accounting deck information (by producer, with effective date history).
  • Daily 'estimated actual' volumes can be stored for each meter/well (utilizing EnergySteward.com integration services).  This can provide an automated centralization and update of volume flow for meters/wells on a daily basis.
  • Meters/Wells can be associated to an unlimited number of contracts.

* These items can all be defined in the pipe/field configuration area within EnergySteward.com.

All of these items above can be accessed from within the EnergySteward.com 'Meters/Wells...' area.
